Fundraising Committee

Purpose

To aid the Board of the Friends in ensuring that there are adequate resources to support both the operations of the nonprofit Friends and programmatic goals of the Center

Key Tasks

The following are the tasks expected by the committee members:

  • Cultivates potential sources of contributed support as well as encourages the creation of sustainable revenue programs with growth potential such as memberships, sales and entrepreneurial efforts
  • Keeps the Board apprised of fund raising progress
  • Plans and executes fundraising events, including the annual Hopkins Arts Festival
  • Presents an annual fund raising campaign plan to the Board of the Friends and oversees fund raising efforts

Commitment

The following are the commitment expectations of the committee members:

  • Estimated time commitment of 3 hours per month
  • Meets monthly
  • One-year term
