“A painting is not a picture of an experience but is the experience.” Mark Rothko

In this quote, Rothko perfectly captures Hopkins Center for the Arts’ mission, Building Community Through the Arts, and the reason we exist: to bring meaningful experiences to artists and our community.

We celebrate local and national artists through art exhibitions, artist talks, and member artist spotlights at the Center and local businesses. The streets of Hopkins highlight our commitment to art through the Hopkins ArtStreet Public Art program, Mainstreet banners, and murals that welcome visitors to our community.

Our building is open seven days per week and many programs are free for all to enjoy - the Sunset Series outdoor summer concerts, Artist Talks, Studio West Arts Tour, visual arts exhibitions and opening receptions. We also offer virtual experiences that are available for viewing on our website and YouTube.

Our Mainstage Concert series offers an opportunity to enjoy nationally recognized musical talent in an intimate 700 seat theater.

We partner with other art organizations to provide workshops that inspire and further develop local artists in their work.

We thank those who support us in our mission. If you are new to the Center, we welcome you to join us and be a part of our community.

By giving to The Friends of Hopkins Center for the Arts, you not only support great art programs, you also help support artists who inspire and engage us all by sharing their gifts with us.

Please consider making a tax-deductible donation in support of this arts community.

Your gift, whatever the amount, is deeply appreciated.

Thank you!

Lynn Anderson,

Executive Director, Hopkins Center for the Arts
