Opening Reception: Thursday, May 24

You must be a member of the Friends of Hopkins Center for the Arts (If not yet a member, you can become one online or simply pay for your membership when you drop off your artwork).
We accept original work in all media. It must have been completed within the past two years and not previously exhibited at Hopkins Center for the Arts.
Work must arrive ready for installation – clean, undamaged and framed if meant to be framed. (For wall-hung work, please attach a horizontal wire for hanging and so that we can attach a security device.)
We encourage artists to put their work for sale, although this is not mandatory. The Hopkins Center for the Arts takes a 25% commission on sold work so price accordingly. Your work will be insured at half the retail value.

Submit your artwork on Sunday, May 20, 1-4pm or Monday, May 21, 4-7pm. Hand deliver your 1-2 pieces of artwork to the Center, making sure each piece is labeled on the back with your name and contact information, the price and the title of the piece. No exceptions to these dates and times. Bring a check with you for your nonrefundable entry fee of $15 for one piece or $18 for two pieces. (If you are also paying for a membership, this can be done in the same check.) Make out your check to Friends of HCA.
Attend the opening reception on Thursday, May 24, 6-8pm. (Awards will be given out at 7pm)
Pick up your artwork on Sunday, June 24, 1-4pm or Monday, June 25, 4-7pm. No exceptions to these dates and times. Work not picked up on time is subject to a storage fee of $5/day.

This show is not juried for entry but is judged for awards as follows:

1 Best of Show (purple ribbon, $150)
2 Awards of Excellence (blue ribbon, $100)
3 Awards of Merit (red ribbon, $50)
6 Honorable Mentions (green ribbon, $25)
In addition, visitors to the Center may vote for the People’s Choice Award (yellow ribbon) during the run of the show.
